Mason Pilevsky is a New York based sound designer, musician, music composer, and audio mixer, who earned a BA in Theatre Design and Technology, summa cum laude from San Diego State University.
Mason identifies as agender, and uses the gender neutral pronoun “xie”, which is pronounced “zee.”
Mason is proud to be an elected board member for the Queer Urban Orchestra (QUO), a 501(c)3 nonprofit group of musicians dedicated to creating space for queer composers and performers to share their unique voices. Xie is currently serving a two year term as QUO’s first historian. Mason is also a member of Riverside Orchestra’s welcome committee and social committee.
Mason holds an MA in Clinical Counseling from Alliant International University, a pursuit which merited induction into the Chi Sigma Iota international psychology honor society, and contributed to xie’s highest level credential, that of National Certified Counselor (NCC).
In xie’s free time, Mason is working on several writing projects and singing with the Broadway at 92NY Chorus.
